my name is brenda and i recently spent 3 days at the pavillion inn on anguilla. the mangement was very friendly. the inn is only minutes away from the ferry from st martin. the rooms are actually little apartments with kitchen and living room. the beach is less than 200 yards away and is very accessible. they were able to make arrangements for a reasonable car rental as well. very inexpensive, clean and a wonderful value. please pass it on..thanks

   Frangipani Beach Club - Meads Bay   Howard
Several years ago in an article for Caribbean Travel and Life, Susan Pierres called Frangipani the "undiscovered Jewel of the Caribbean". It has since been discovered and is truly a Jewel. We have stayed there nine times. Frangipani is on Meads Bay Beach which in my opinion is the best beach on Anguilla. The accomodations are one, two and three bedroom condo suites. There is one unit that is a junior sort of efficiency suite. There is a two bedroom penthouse. The bedrooms can also be rented out as just a bedroom and bath because of the configuration of the condos. Frangipani has a seven night Sun, Sea and Sand Package that includes a one bedroom suite with kitchen, living/dining room, bedroom with king sized bed and 1 1/2 or two baths depending on the suite. This is the best deal for the dollar on the island. The suites are elegantly furnished and all have an ocean/beach view. Frangipani also has a pool with swim up bar, a tennis court, and an excellent restaurant overlooking the beach. Breakfast and lunch are served on the restaurant terrace and the happy hour at the bar is a great place to watch the sunset. Frangipani also has rental cars (Mazda 323's) Frangipani is the perfect place for a laid back vacation, honeymoon, wedding etc. Quiet, intimate and romantic. There are great restaurants on Anguilla. Beside the one at Frangipani, some of our favorites are Blanchards, Mangos, Sapphire, and La Veranda. Good local restaurants include E's Oven and Tasty's Cafe. Sunday afternoon at Scilly Cay they have a band and everone dances the time away in the sand. The lobster/ crayfish combo platter is fantastic. Johnno's and the Pumphouse in Sandy Ground are the most popular night spots. Check out Frangipanni at http://www.frangipani.ai.
