We stayed at the Wyndham Nassau Resort and Crystal Palace last Oct. I would not suggest staying here - the rooms are dirty and stink. The water slide closes by supper time and is in need of a serious cleaning!!! The public space is big and empty, really needs renovating. They also have a lagoon that is a waste of space. The food is OK and the staff seems to try. Hope that Wyndham will put some money into it soon.......

Just returned from a very relaxing week in Nassau. The most impressive factor of this trip was the hospitality of the Bahamian people. Everyone from the cabbies, wait staff, housekeeping and front desk were genuinely polite and accommodating. The food is a bit pricey but we found that the portions were so generous at the majority of restaurants that one meal was sufficient for two of us. Stayed at the Wyndham which is showing its age but still very clean and provides excellent service. That area is in the process of undergoing a 2.4 billion dollar makeover that looks fabulous. Johnny Canoe’s restaurant, two doors down, provides dining indoors or out. The food is amazingly tasty and portions very generous. The wait staff is also very pleasant. The dollar bus is a must to experience. For a buck you can hitch a ride downtown to enjoy the straw market and every kind of jewelry and perfume shop you could imagine. You pay as you exit the bus. For the eating/drinking experience try Senor Frogs on the water, near the straw market. Again, the food was very flavorful and filling, the open air dining looks out over the water and the cruise ships docked there. If you are a fan of beer, try Kalik, which is the local beer, nice mild robust taste, you can even stroll the downtown streets with an opened bottle as long as it’s in a brown paper bag. The entire experience was money well spent!!
