After checking in with the friendly bar staff we climbed the stairs to room #23. The room, which consisted of two beds, cable TV, refrigerator, safe, and air conditioning, was simply decorated with cloth hangings depicting Costa Rican wild life. The room was very clean with a small fridge, fresh towels that were creatively displayed on the bed with a fresh flower adornment. The cleaning crew (Rosetta) was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The restaurant/bar situated on the beach is a comfortable meeting place with delicious fresh food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also offer a nice snack menu (my favorite is the chili served with crackers and raw onions on the side). For those of you that can't leave your laptops at home Clarita's offers Wi-Fi. Clarita's has all kinds of activities to keep you entertained as well. They have available at no charge, seven well-placed TV's (Lesley, the General Manager makes sure that every NFL game is shown for us die-hard fans), a dartboard, volleyball, horseshoes, and for the more cerebral backgammon. I should not fail to mention the local colour that gathers daily to mix with travelers from points far and wide. Our over all experience at Clarita's was a comfortable and pleasant stay and recommend to friends and family. We commend Lesley and for the amazing job she is doing.
P.S. They have the best view of the sunset in Jaco
