I loved this resort. There was so much to do---and if you didn't want to do anything there were a lot of different ways to do nothing! Lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful. The location stunning!
Rooms:
We went in a group for a wedding there, so we got to see the rooms in a variety of locations throughout the resort. We stayed along the beach front. Every room had a view of the ocean---and the view out the 'back' was of lush greenery, banana trees and walkways. Rooms were comfortable and spacious---not that we spent much time in them.
Restaurants and Bars:
WOW! We never did get to every restaurant on the grounds. Ran out of time! Did get to most of the bars. I really liked the food---lots of variety from Japanese to Italian to basic food--depending where you ate. There are 13 restaurants. Especially loved the banana drink at breakfast.....I still dream of it....and the mango/orange juice.
Beach/Pools/Grounds:
Seven swimming pools. Only hung out at three of them. Very nice. Lots of activities in the water organized by the staff if you are so inclined.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
Panama canal tour. Can't go to Panama without seeing the canal. Considered more tours, but was enjoying myself too much at the resort so didn't bother.
Other Comments:
Highly recommend this place. Note that there are no elevators and there are lots of stairs and uphill climbs. The resort provides a shuttle service if you can't navigate the stairs or distances from one end of the place to the other. It's so big they have three front desks. One of our group had a medical problem, and used the medical station on the resort. They were efficient and solved the problem quickly and my friend was very happy with the service.
