We stayed here for one night before our departure from Nicaragua and after our one week stay at Hotel Vistamar (see our review of this hotel also).

We enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it. We booked on-line on the Best Western site.

The front desk personnel were very efficient, pleasant and helpful. Upon your check-out, you can literally walk out the front door, across the road and into the main door of the airport (a 2 minute walk perhaps). There is also a shuttle bus available.

The grounds of this hotel are beautifully landscaped with a wide variety of plants and trees and the occasional fountain situated along walkways between the rows of rooms and throughout the property.

The rooms are in long rows that look like summer cabins with open air walkways between the rows. It almost feels like a little village.

Our room was small, but adequate, with a very spacious bathroom. Everything was very clean. There were the usual amenities in the room – coffee maker, iron & ironing board, clock radio, shampoo, soap, towels, washcloth and bottled water.

The hotel is renovating their rooms and we had a look at one just down the hall that was in the process. It had been gutted, literally right down to the dirt floor and from the look of our room, everything has been updated.

There were two pools on-site – one right beside the restaurant (along side a bar & a future snack bar) and one near a gym & massage room.

The only disappointment or surprise here was the restaurant. The food was good and moderately priced, but there was no atmosphere. It was located beside one of the pools and was open air on two sides and adjacent to a beautiful piece of the garden. However, the two remaining walls and ceiling were stark beige and the restaurant was a conglomeration of mismatched tables and chairs. It looked like a whole afterthought to the rest of the hotel. We only ate one meal here and this was the only complaint that we had with the hotel.
