Belize is located in Central America, bordered by Mexico and Guatemala on the land and by the Caribbean Sea from the other side. Lovely location isn’t it? This country has a small population of 334,000 citizens, but with a high population rate. The official language is English which in Latin America is rare, but you can speak Spanish too because locals understand it too. Belize was part of the British Empire, but from 1971 year they have independence. But enough about history because we want to visit the outstanding long beaches and the great local restaurants and bars.

Let's start from the weather which is a tropical climate with wet and dry places – this fact depends on the region of the country. During the entire year the temperature varies from 24C to 27C and that is why the locals make more difference in the rain and humidity than in the temperature by itself. So as we can see the temperature is great trough the entire year and there is no bad time to visit Belize. The only thing that you should keep an eye on is the possibility of hurricanes. There are small chances for that, but be careful.

One of the most interesting places to visit in Belize is the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary - birthplace of the Belizian jaguar and the Scarlet Macaws (special parrot type). There are many things to see here so if you have a chance, try to spend at least one day here. Another great location to visit in Belize is Ambergris Caye - 25miles long very popular island, that most of the tourist visit it. You can get there by plane or by boat and that will take you one hour at most. For the ones that would prefer to see something more about the Belize history great deal would be to visit San Ignacio Town - ancient Mayan city. You and your friends can have fun while you see the interesting buildings from the past and watching the birds. There is an option to ride a horse if you are brave enough.

Don’t forget to try some of the local meals which are in huge numbers, but these are the top 3most most popular:

-Cow Foot Soup-very popular nation meal in Belize. The name says the main ingredient. It is combined with vegetables and spices
- Split Peas and Pigtail over Rice- also very popular meal, especially on the islands
-Iguana- it is not a huge surprise that this kind of meat is a national meal because Belize is home of this animal. It is also known as a “bamboo chicken” because it has the flavor very similar to the one that a chicken has.

If you want to get some imported alcohol in Belize that will cost a bit more than you expect, but you can find nice beer and wine made in this land. They have thousands of variations made with the cocktails, so there is a chance for everyone to find his own taste here. Their national beer is Belikin beer. But don’t forget to try the seaweed beverages which are made, of course, from seaweed and other items like nutmeg, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. That is why this drink is so unique and with such a great taste. Give it a try.

Accommodation in Belize it is not so expensive. Actually, it is not so expensive at all if you know that the prices are from $40 per night where you can get a nice clean room with kitchen, WC and all the things that you need including WI- Fi.

So don’t waste your time, call your friends or surprise your family with something that they will never forget, a nice interesting vacation in Belize-the land where you can enjoy beaches, history and bird watching at the same time!
