The island Cayo Coco is the fourth largest island forming the Cuban archipelago Jardines del Rey, 370 km2 in size and located to the Atlantic coast of Cuba. It is linked to the main land by a stone road, of 17 km long which connect the city of Morón with the islands of Jardines del Rey
Cayo Coco is a paradise of beautiful beaches and nature.
Its bright white beach is 10 km wide with fine sand and warm and a stunning blue-turquoise sea.
Cayo Coco is named because of the many coco trees, besides the coco trees nature at this key hosts species such as many wading birds, the gray heron, and the pink flamingo in total over 30.000 and is among the biggest herds in the world. It is also favorite habitat for other bird species such as the, woodpecker, cormorant, pelicans, mockingbird, and many duck species.
The 10 till 30 meters deep coral reef is over 10 Km long. Diving and snorkeling at Cayo Coco makes you feel swimming in a real tropical aquarium
