Calle Oficios No. 12 entre Obispo y Obrapía
At the Al Medina Restaurant the atmosphere takes on a special magnetism with the colorful tapestries and the captivating smell of sandalwood and jasmine. The restaurant specializes in Arab cuisine, and serves delicious brochettes and the typical Couscous, prepared with the finesse and touch passed down by Lebanese and Syrian immigrants who came to Cuba in the 19th. The Al Medina also serves international dishes.
The restaurant also has the "Chawarma", an in-house cafeteria, a confortable bar, a shop specializing in Arab products, and roomy lounges that include two private rooms. The restaurant is set in an old house that, in 1689, was the San Ambrosio School of Humanities, and is now the expression of Muslim influence in Spanish architecture in 17th-century Havana.
