of 54 Restaurants in Old Havana
Based on 1 reviews
The restaurant is named after the nearby historic attraction El Templete where in December 1519 San Cristobal de la Habana was founded. This seafood restaurant is one of the better restaurants in Havana and the prices are accordingly although not over the top. The Spanish chef Carlos Castillo has compiled a menu, which attracts many artists and celebrities and caters to the demanding palate of the cruise ships passengers who come ashore nearby. When you choose to sit on the covered terrace an evening breeze will keep you somewhat cool. Horse carriages pass by frequently and one can get a glimpse of the charming though somewhat gritty port entrance, which lies just across the street. A comfortable and quieter air-conditioned dining room is also available. On offer is a wide selection of appetizers and specialties like Tuna filled with cheese and sweet peppers (10 CUC), Jumbo Shrimps (16 CUC) as well as a variety of Lobster and Mixed Seafood dishes (28 CUC). A fine selection of wine and deserts will make your dining experience complete. If you enjoy fine dining, El Templete is a great option.
