Grenada Grand Beach ResortPat ~ Quebec, Canada
March 2006

Finally someone who can give a little input about Grenada and this hotel. We just arrived back home on Monday the 6 of march 2006.

Hotel: Very simple in nature, nice people working there, courteous and polite. Rooms are simple but it does the job. Food is real good, however limited choice for the buffet, however the choices available are quite good. It is NOT a place to party at the hotel. More of an elderly crowd. Activities finish around 10pm. However, my wife and I went to relax and we found it.

Beach: WOW!!! we visited many other carribean islands and the Grand Anse Beach is right up there! beautiful white sand and the sea colors marvelled us! rate 5 on 5!

Transport: Take the bus wherever you go. Quite cheap and you get the feel of the locals in Grenada. We had fun taking the bus to St.George's.

St.Georges: Nice town, quite busy, small roads, something to see! Cruise ships stop by everyday.

Shopping: I expected to find more "craft" like objects ( paintings) and there was really not many to be found. The spices are awsome souvenirs. However, overall, not too many choices for souvenirs ( alot are made in China?).

Grenada: Wonderful people, very friendly, great weather ( +31c day with light breeze and nice comfortable weather at night). Some good restaurants to try out in Grenada ( Coconut beach and the Beachhouse), especially if you love sea food. Grenada reminded me alot of Jamaica ( mountanous view, sea colors, breeze). Very picturesque island. The effects of Hurricane Ivan is still felt and visible. They are rebuilding slowly. Hoever, no real impact for vacationers. Once again, Grenada is a place to relax, it's not a party town, so come with the family! Some newer hotels are coming up, Spice Island and Coyaba, they seem spectacular!
