Beach/Pools/Grounds
my wife enjoyed the water eventhough it was quite rough with the waves I enjoyed a good book.We golfed the 9 hole course the greens were under repair but it will be a nice course when all is done.Dania from Conquest was very helpful and always smiled the poolbar seemed to be the meeting place the bar man Walter was a lot of fun.I would return to this resort in a few years as it matures so much to see and so little time
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel
we did do any tours Dania told us of an orphanage down the road and we spent or money in town buying clothes for the kids I needed to relax and rest so thats what we did.

| Grissy's Hotel - Tela | Richard & Ruth ~ Ontario, Canada |
May 2008
My wife and I have stayed in Tela several times. On our last visit we discovered a new hotel a couple of kilometers west of town. It is called Grissy’s (http://www.grissys.com/). A taxi ride to town was $2.00 or it could be nice walk along the beach. The hotel and its staff are very impressive. It is located fifty feet from the beach and has its own pool. Rooms are large and some have a small kitchenette as part of your accommodation. Satellite TV offers some English language stations. The restaurant overlooks the pool and meals can be ordered a la carte. We chose to go the all-inclusive route. There is weekend entertainment as well.
The best part of Grissy’s is your treatment by the wonderful staff. They are very helpful with the ‘tourist’ questions and try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The owner and some staff speak English but communication was never a problem with the Spanish speaking staff. Grissy’s will be our only hotel stop in Tela from now on.
