Villas Telamar

Airport: Be ready to wait a long time and if it is a sunny day, you will be sweating outside in line. Then the bus to the hotel is about 1 1/2 hour drive.

The Villas Telamar is a very attractive Hotel. We stayed in a superior room which were large and had 2 confortable beds.
The hotel is kept clean everywhere and has lovely mature vegetation.

The beach has a light brown sand, but you have plenty of space for relaxing.
The pool is large and separates into 3 sections, with childrens slides and adult slides and a pool bar. The only downside was the loud music played all day long. No break from it, the animation people leave this blasting music on non-stop.

The main buffet food was good. There was not a huge variety but it was always tasty. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and sometimes non existing. There is not enough employees to keep up with the amount of tourists and there is no management of the staff.
But, In the Italien a la carte restaurant we had great service with Leticia.

The city of Tela was an easy walk from Telamar and the streets are was very colorful. It has lots of shops and sidewalk cooking stations where the local ladies are busy selling their traditional food.
With a view of spectacular hazy mountains, beautiful beach, warm weather and friendly people, we enjoyed our stay in Villas Telamar.

Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
... when she came closer... we could not believe the transformation ... there was a beautiful "guayabita" just in front of us ....
She introduced herself: " Mi nombre es 'Chiquita' ...", we were so surprised that we could not utter a word.
Chiquita continued: " I could be your guiding light during your stay at 'Villas Telamar', however you'd have to help me 'to find myself' ".

Arrival: Feb 9th to 16
uneventful but no coffee on the plane

Rooms
large room with a king size bed very clean

Restaurants and Bars
very good buffet my wife is a vegetarian and she found food to eat Rolando and Belinda are very nice servers and every one always smiled. the specialty restaurants were ok nothing special but lots of food on your plate.

Beach/Pools/Grounds
my wife enjoyed the water eventhough it was quite rough with the waves I enjoyed a good book.We golfed the 9 hole course the greens were under repair but it will be a nice course when all is done.Dania from Conquest was very helpful and always smiled the poolbar seemed to be the meeting place the bar man Walter was a lot of fun.I would return to this resort in a few years as it matures so much to see and so little time

Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel
we did do any tours Dania told us of an orphanage down the road and we spent or money in town buying clothes for the kids I needed to relax and rest so thats what we did.
