Quinta Avenida Habana is a 5 star hotel casually sophisticated and comfortably appointed for business or leisure, it also benefits from the striking colors used as part of decoration and that are typically used from Barcelůís Hotels styles.

The first thing to know about this hotel that may entice you is the fact that they have a free shuttle ride to the city, that feature got me too. The food was healthy because breakfast was basically fresh fruits, cheese, sausage and fruit juices, sometimes even bacon are added, it was a nice experience. If you donít mind the price, the drinks here are great, I didnít mind because I didnít want to go out to look for drinks so it was good. The staff here understood English, they spoke well enough to communicate and answer questions so there was no communication problem. The hotel is located in a quiet location but that doesnít mean a thing because I wanted somewhere that wasnít rowdy where I can have a nice and quiet holiday and this was the place for me. The hotel has great facilities that you can explore while staying at this hotel such as a large beautiful pool, a nice looking spa and a great gym to go work out in. They have excursion options that you can book for if you want to. The rooms are clean and nice, the beds and pillows are quite comfortable and clean, it didnít smell funny like other hotels I have been to in Cuba. The breakfast is the reason I wake up every morning, I know how that sounds but I really had a great time staying here. Whenever I am in town for anything, this is the hotel I will visit.

I expected more from this hotel considering it is one of the best tourists cities in Cuba, it is not the worse but could be better. I also think that the hotel is overrated because I donít see why it should be 5 star hotel when at most itís a 3. First the place is overpriced compared to other hotels I have been to in this town. The rooms are big I give them that and the beds are quite comfortable, and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms are clean with good shower system that has good pressure, thatís basically the positive side of this hotel. Most of the amenities is the room I stayed in was broken and the toilet had problem of flushing at one time, I stayed here for just 3 days and I donít think I will be coming back here soon. Let me state a fact here, the receptionist is rude and it was obvious, you will just feel like you are not wanted and itís funny because I actually paid to stay here. The location wasnít even great because I needed taxi or free shuttle ride of other hotels to get to most of the places I needed and that was expensive for me. Let me state that not all the staff was rude, the bellboy was pretty chatty and friendly, at least. It was not a good experience for me here and I do not recommend it to someone looking to have professional staff attend to them or have the best meals.

My wife and I arrived at this hotel on 30 March for three nights after spending three nights at Parque Central. The difference between the two hotels is huge, if you are looking for a five stars hotel, avoid Quinta Avenida at all cost. There is no iron, no ironing board, no robes, not even tissues (surviette) in the rooms. Cleaniness is fifty fifty with flies in the lobby and bar area, and it is about 30 minutes from old Havana city by car.The concierge recommended a restaurant that ended up to be very expensive and I ended up spending the next day in bed from food poisoning, by the way we were the only people in that restaurant. Anyhow, I think they seriously have to look again in its star rating as it is misleading.

The lobby furniture should be improved, the first impression is that the looby is empty.
The rooms are clean but I got the feeling that the Hotel needs a renovation.
The breakfast was not good for a 5 star hotel. No fresh juice available,and the quality of the fruit was not good at all, only one sort of cheese and the butter was serve in a big clump. The quality of the products availible was poor.
Great location, clean and nice pool.
