Our room was very clean, comfortable. We have 6 - floor oceanside, above the main street and it was quite noisy at night as the were late night bars within a block. Try and get a room poolside - it will be much quieter'' The price for our room included breakfast. This was very good buffet style and we enjoyed it every morning. There are two or three good reasonable restaurants within 2 blocks. Be sure and have lobster at the Cuban Chef (Very reasonable and FRESH) for only 10 CUC. (!2CAD Approx). One block further down the street EXCELLENT Pizza for only 2.50. Big ones, keep half for lunch at the beach the next day. Staff at the Hotel speak some english. They do try to help. One of the older bellhops speaks perfect English and is happy to assist in any way. The hotel pool was excellent and would definately stay here again.

First time in Cuba hotel was nice for what i paid however, was expecting UK standard next time will book something more upmarket. staff were very nice love the bars and restaurant. room was nice. nothing wrong with that hotel.

Room Number:
605

Arrival:
I work in a 5* hotel in London so I think there is a bit of work with customer service needed.
because i work in the industry i may be bias therefore.
I would say! you get what you paid for nothing more

Rooms:
again nothing special, TV was not the best and no hot water
housekeeping team did a very good job room was very clean.

Restaurants and Bars:
bar and restaurant staff are very good and friendly
food was nice love the snake bar by the pool nice and relaxing place

Beach/Pools/Grounds:
beach was nice and pool was good, some hotel guests were nice to chat too

Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
love the show every night

Other Comments:
this was my first time in Cuba I love the place I love the hotel but next time i would not go there not because something went wrong but next time will go for something more up market a 4* or 5* hotel.

This hotel is pretty much ok, it is close to the airport, so you will not have any problems getting there.

The stuff is really professional and well trained, but the rooms are not as good as I expected them to be. They were clean, but there were some problems with the toilets. The room overall was pretty big, with tv with a cable, safe that was free of charge (and this is really important for me since I had a few bad experiences with other hotels) and a small balcony that had a street view.

The beach is really close to the hotel, less than 5 minutes walking. Everything at the beach is free (like towels and so on), so that is a plus, but it has an average cleanness, so that is a con.

When it comes to the nightlife, it is pretty much well organized, there are good parties, but as I saw, this hotel is a good place for seniors too, since there were a lot of them there.

If you want to go somewhere else, there is taxi all the time and it is all in all cheap.

The thing that I like the most about this exact place is that there are a lot of night shows that show the Cuban tradition and you can participate in the local dances and try the traditional cuisine.

A lot of things here are really cheap or free, but some of them are really worth the money - it does not fit the standards that most people are expecting to see and have.

So all in all:

Pros: location, nightlife, shows, the fact that it is cheap
Cons: hygiene, the drinks were watered down and the food after a while gets boring because there is no diversity.

I hope this helps, all in all, I had a good time here and I will for sure come back in Cuba and probably in this hotel too. This is a place that is worth visiting and if you are looking for fun you will for sure have a great time.

the service was great but the only suggestion that I have to make is that the food needs a little improvement, I found it to be a bit boring to have the same menu everyday especially for lunch.

This is the 13th week that i have visited this hotel. The staff is 5 star plus. They will go out of there way all of the time so that you will have a great vacation. The food is good, you will not starve. It is probably the same as you would get at any Canadian buffet. The mexican restuarant is 5/6 ..and the cuba restuarant is very nice.

Eat the ice cream first. It tends to melt. Start a new fashion. Room are in need of upgraded beds, but comfortable, t.v. cnn, and at least 9 american stations. Fishing is excellent do bring a rod. Pilar beach is 5 minutes away the most amazing beach in the world.

We stayed in this hotel after having spent some nights in other hotels. Overall it's worth your money. Location wise, it's very convenient to other amenities (market, shops). The food and service were OK. Room was not spotless but still OK. Beach is a little away but not a problem. Recommend.

The resort has all the amenities, to meet all your needs, very relaxed, unpretentious, friendly helpful staff, the rooms are simply decorated, clean and comfortable, the sea views are superb.. i would definately return there....upon arrival u may not be so sure.. but give it a day or 2 and you will really feel at home!!!

We just arrived back from Acuazul. My wife and I loved it! The service was great, this hotel was very clean, the food is a buffet most times with a selection of veggies, pork, ghicken or fish, sweets, fresh fruit, by a very courtious and efficient staff. It is in the middle of town with markets and restaurants up and down from the Hotel. The buggy ride was wonderful, the caves de bellamar was unbelievable, we took a day trip to Havana it was full of history however we found it a little long probably should have taken the overnight tour. We swam with the dolphins, seen the Varadero Tropicana show it was spectacular. Ther staff of this hotel was friendly, a lot of them speak English, we are planning to back next year. Yavi our Conquest Rep. spoke perfect English was very helpful and knoledgeable about everything! We`re going back! Have fillet at the Torro restaurant on the main strip, french fries complimentary wine and cheap, beautiful.

I have been staying at Acuazul for several years and I can rightly call it my home away from home. The staff is very kind, they've become friends, they're very warm and polite. The food is excellent and the servings large. The place is spotless, the rooms very large and with good views. The hotel is well located and a stone's throw away from a good beach. In a nutshell, I have no complaints about Acuazul.
