It is an average hotel that is descent enough for one to stay for a couple of nights here while on vacation or business trip depending on the reason you are visiting this art of town. The rooms here are comfortable and basic, nothing outstanding but comfortable. Taking a walk in the orchid garden was great as it was so beautiful, I would say this is the best place for nature lovers. The hotel has a nice large swimming pool that is spotless and usually cleaned out every day. The hotel setting is just beautiful; I haven’t seen anything like it. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are clean as well and include all the basic things you will require during your stay, hot water supply was constant. The maids can do your laundry for you for a small price but it comes back clean and well ironed so it’s a win win. I took a hike up to a place and had good viewpoint of the resort. You will require insect repellant here as I couldn’t tell if there were bugs or mosquitoes in the rooms but asides that, every other thing was great. The staff was amazing, trying to help us enjoy the holiday by chatting with the guests, answering questions regarding the orchid garden and other stuff that added to the amazing experience I had here. As much fun as I had here, I may not be coming back here again if I have better option. Cheers to helping me have a nice time.

This hotel is a nightmare!

When we arrived, the receptionist told us to wait for 2 hours because the room had to be cleaned. We were told to go to the pool. However, the pool was totally crowded with Cubans, taking all the places near the pool. We had to wait in the lobby for 2 hours, facing the reception. Nothing happened, but after 2 hours (to the minute!) waiting, the receptionist told us that the room was clean and we could enter...
Upon entering, we saw that we got a room crowded with cockroaches and mold, and without any water. After complaining at the reception, we got a new room after being treated very rude! At night, we found out that this room did not have any windows but instead lamellae, so we were forced to spend the night with a tarantula in our room. After a sleepless night we packed our bags and went to the wonderful hotel of Vila Moka in Las Terrazas, which was a delight after such a horror hotel. And the worst thing is that the staff at Soroa was rude, totally incompetent and could not care less about their clients...

To conclude: NEVER go here!!!

Clean rooms, shower with hot water! For us, breakfast and dinner were included. I also saw the menu, prices are reasonable, it is not expensive. Food was ok, but nothing special. Staff is friendly, and we also had live music one night which was really nice. There is a small shop in the reception area, it is a cheap place to buy softdrinks or liquor. It is possible to exchange money for a good rate, but there was no money, so for us it was not possible. There are musquitos in Soroa, so take insect repellant with you! Soroa is good place to stay if you have a car and want to go to Las Terrazzas. We stayed for 2 nights in Soroa, but Soroa and Las Terrazzas were not very special to us. If we could make a planning of our trip in Cuba again, we would not go there.
