It is a solid building constructed in 1939, in which wood works are combined with a delicate decor. Many consider it the best hotel in town.

It is an old hotel with a very nice location as it is situated right on the very busy and shopping street of the city. The hotel is close to everything and of walking distance to almost everywhere; I didn’t find it hard to locate the place at all. The rooms here are not that large maybe medium but it was spacious enough for me. I advise you to take rooms with street side views because it is very noisy especially at night. The rooms far away from the street are darker but it is better than the noisy area especially after dark. The bathrooms are great, clean with less toiletries but I made do with what I had as I brought some of my own stuff. The central location of this hotel is its most valued feature because I needed to go around the city before leaving Cuba completely and this place provided me easy access to everywhere I wanted to go to. The restaurant located on the top floor has great atmosphere as you will be served good meals with great view of the city. The rooftop bar also gives a refreshing feel as you sip while having a good view of the city. The only problem I had with this place was the noise as much as I love the location, I needed a quiet holiday but that didn’t happen but it’s the price you pay for wanting a centrally located hotel. The staff here was great and I may come back, not sure though.
