If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Wouldn’t it be nice if life were just as it appeared in photographs? I just spent a week at The Body Holiday – Le Sport resort from march 6 –march 13, 2005. The facilities, the spa treatments, the gift store, the food, and the “all inclusive” as described on the web site are ALL completely inaccurate and very misleading. The best part about the property is the scuba diving department. The service in the restaurant was plentiful, but the food was absolutely terrible. If you tried to change your spa treatment, good luck! You basically had to forfeit your treatment. This spa is not into giving you the customer any pampering and or special treatment. The guys at the concierge always had an answer to our questions, yet it was usually the wrong made up answer. So, they say the restaurant is all-inclusive, well think again. The main restaurant, The Cariblue…picks and chooses which courses are included and then puts a purchase price next to other desirable choices. The staff does not understand the word “to accommodate and to give service” You were never given choices nor the opportunity to change a menu item, and or change anything period. I went to hear the Master series. I went for the Weight Management in the 21st Century focus. Which was superb. I couldn’t have asked for a better more fulfilling learning experience. So all in all, I guess I could say my trip went well. I accomplished what I set out to do which was to learn about weight management. Although the rest was supposed to be fluff, it was anything but that. The food didn’t even coincide with the weight management program we were supposed to follow for the week. Go figure, we attributed it to, ah, we are in the Caribbean. I am speaking for at least 4 other girls from my program. In went to hear the master lecturer who was fabulous. I was told how great it was to walk around without your purse because you didn't need any cash. Well that was not true at all. I would frequent the gift store to purchase water and or soda for my room. If I didn't pay for these items in cash, I could charge them to my room. The only problem was that if I charged to my room, there was an additional 5% added on to the bill. What was that all about? The rest of the week was a big disappointment. Actually, I received a room upgrade, which was a great surprise. Although the club plans to make changes to accommodate the client, they are in the thinking stage. I hope they are near the implementing

Le SportMary Theresa ~ Baltimore, Maryland
April 2002

Just got back from Paradise also known as LeSport in St. Lucia! This was a Birthday Vacation gift from me to me and it was perfect in every way! LeSport offers spa treatments along with classes and activities that are all included in the price. I highly recommend LeSport. The Hotel, Staff, Management, Facilities, Beach, Food, ect are all the very highest level!

I arrived from Baltimore Maryland on Friday, April 12th and was met with no problem, even though our connecting flight from Puerto Rico was late due to mechanical problems. Arriving at the LeSport I was escorted to the Reception area and was met by Jasmine one of the fantastic staff who was ready with my info and room assignment. And of course there was delicious rum punch served as we went over my information.

I received a packet that had all of the treatments that I would be receiving at the Oasis, which is a lovely place atop a hill on the Hotel Property. The Oasis is built like a Moorish Palace and is absolutely AWESOME! All of the treatment rooms are there for the spa services, such as massage, body wraps, hydro therapy, everything that you can imagine!

There is a separate booklet with the information on the classes and activities that are available from about 6:30am to 6pm everything you could want. Meditation, Yoga, T'ai Chi, Stretch Class, Aqua Tone, Fencing, Golf, Watersports, Snorkeling and the list goes on. The choices are too numereous to mention.

From Reception I was escorted to my room. A single Garden Room. LeSport recognizes that single travelers are a large part of the market and have rooms specifically geared to us without charging the "singles supplement" of occupying a room for two. The Single Rooms are beautiful. Really large enough for two so they are quite comfortable and beautifuly furnished with a four poster bed. The bathroom has shower/tub that was very large and comfortable. I was lucky enough to have a patio on my room that was private with a wall between mine and my next door neighbors and I could see and hear the ocean from my room. It too was absolutely AWESOME! Not all single rooms have those patios but I was told that you can request them and if they are available every effort will be made to accommodate your request.

It is at this point I would like to mention the help and great service I recieved from two outstanding people at LeSport they are Wanda and Keitha! My best regards to them. Wanda is in charge of the website which is great, packed full of information also Customer Loyalty and Keitha takes care of guest services and arranging the spa services. I made arrangements with them before I arrived and mentioned it was my birthday and I was greeted with Champagne with flowers and a card in my room. Thank you Ladies for making my 55th Birthday one I will always remember.

After seeing my room I took a tour of LeSport to see the facilities and familiarize myself with the layout. They give two tours everyday, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon around 5. The Staff that entertains are called BodyGuards, they are dressed in white shorts and shirts and are fun and very fit. All of the staff is friendly, outgoing and cannot do enough to make your stay the very best.

Meals, all meals are included and the food was fresh, tasty and gourmet quality. Breakfast is served at the Cariblue which is a beautiful open air restaurant. Fresh pineapple and banana! Omelets made to order and an array of fish, meats and other surprises to treat your taste buds.

Lunch also is at Cariblue and there is a new Deli (that I never got to, because I just loved the buffet lunches at Cariblue the menu changed daily and each day was a treat. And wine is served at lunch. The wines were lovely, I tasted wines from Chile and South Africa while I was there.

Dinner is available at Cariblue, Clubhouse and Tao. I ate at all three and each is outstanding. Tao is an East West Fusion cooking with impeccable service and reservations are required. The Clubhouse has Grill and Carvery Cooking. And the Cariblue at dinner is an ALA carte ordering. The choices are always gourmet and the food and service in all three restaurants are outstanding!

On the beach in the morning the WaterSports team offers a lot of services which are again all included. They have a speed boat and will take you water-skiing, or tubing which is like the bannana boat but better and then there is snorkeling which is really quite good! They have hobie cats and kayaks also! The beach is beautiful and well kept and they have servers coming around offering water or drinks to everyone on the beach! Does it get any better - I do not think so!

In the evening they offer entertainment that varies everynight from a trio of guitarists, or a jazz trio or perhaps African drummers. There is a Piano Bar and also music for dancing at the Clubhouse. The clientele is friendly and varied. I met other women who were traveling solo like myself and there were honeymooners, older married couples, businessmen all kinds of people who were enjoying their stay in Paradise / LeSport.
