November 2004
I just got back from the Ocean Beach Hotel on North Caicos, in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It was the most peaceful and relaxing vacation I've ever taken. The beach was absolutely gorgeous. I walked for miles without seeing a soul. The water was SO clear that I snorkeled for sand dollars which are white and I could see them in the pure white sand 10 feet down!! Such colorful fish, seafans and beautiful Queen Conch. (I left them alone).
The one bedroom condo I stayed in was immaculately clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. If I wasn't reading, there was a VCR and lots of movies. There is a brand new restaurant on the premises which is great. Pretty place, very good food and extremely nice people. This was a fabulous vacation and I certainly hope to get back there soon!!! I would definitely stay at the Ocean Beach Hotel again.

December 2003
My friend and I just returned from North Caicos. We spent a week at the Ocean Beach Hotel. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in Condo #3 which was beach front/ocean view. The condo was spotless clean, bright and airy. There is a pool and the landscaping is a botanical garden. The beach is BEAUTIFUL. Crystal clear water and pure white sand and we practically had it all to ourselves! This Island of North Caicos isn't for everyone. There is no exciting night-life, souvenir shopping, or loud, motorized water sports. It's peaceful, quiet, relaxing and definitly unspoiled. We LOVED it! On our way home, we spent one night in Provo and it felt way over-crowded compared to North Caicos!

July 2003
On March 13, 2003, My boyfriend and I took a vacation to the Turks & Caicos. Because we wanted a quiet, secluded, unhurried, relaxing vacation we decided to go to North Caicos instead of Provo. (nothing against Provo). What a wonderful island!!! We stayed for 8 nights at the Ocean Beach Hotel/Condominiums in unit #3.The Ocean Beach is beachfront. Just a few steps from an absolutely stunning beach!!! The best part was that the beach was deserted!!! Our one-bedroom condo was really nice. It was beautifully decorated in a tropical decor and was extremely clean, bright and airy. We loved the condo. There was also a pool on the premises which would get some shade in the afternoon, so it was nice to sit and read out of the sun. The pool looks out onto the ocean. The manager of the condos, Karen, was delightful. She was so helpful and very pleasant. Karen is also the chef at the restaurant that is on the premises. The food was delicious. All home cooked including the pineapple-upside-down cake!
North Caicos was very enjoyable for us. If you are looking for excitment and nightlife this is not the place for you. There are several small restaurants around the island, which are very good. The Anchor Inn had great chicken&chips and fish&chips. Titters was good. Pappa Grunts was not very good. We didn't like the atmosphere and it was overpriced for what you got.
It was fun going around the island and sightseeing. The little grocery stores were fun to go in. The local people on North Caicos are very friendly as well as the Ex-Pats that have homes there. We absolutely loved North Caicos. We are going back in November and bringing another couple with us. We have to share this wonderful "find" of an island!!
