My wife and I spent the first week of February at the Sibonne Hotel on Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The beaches there are the best I've ever been to. The sand was like walking on flour and actually felt good between your toes. No rocks or shells to worry about, even while your in the crystal clear water.
The Sibonne' is a small intimate hotel with only 27 rooms and has the best rayes on the island. I paid 135 a night for an ocean view room with balcony. The pictures on their internet site are very accurate if you check it out. They also have an ocean front apartment there with a kitchen that was outstanding.
There is a restaurant there called the Bay Bistro, the food was excellent. They offer a continental breakfast, included with the room, which was also good. It was pretty cool going to breakfast with your pajamas on and enjoying the beach at the same time. Food in the resaurants is expensive. We took snack foods with us to cut our costs. There is a nice size refrigerator in each room. If your looking for some relaxing beach time the Sibonne was problaaly one of the best on the island. The hotel is located right on the beach, closer than any other place.
It is very laid back there, so if yopur looking to party , you might want to check another place out. By the way , I went scube diving there , which is also excellent, saw lots of sharks and spotted eagle rays. We saw some whales also but we couldn't get the boat there quick enough to see them in the warte. I dove with Caicos Adventures, They are very professional and operate some great dive boats. Any question , you can e-mail me at patrickmaloney@fuse.net. Enjoy the Turks , we certainly did!!
