Best Western - Margarita Dynasty
January 2005

My husband i stayed at the best western-margarita dynasty from jan 12 -19, 2005. We had the breakfast plan included in our stay. After 2 days of guessing what was the meat, we chose to eat breakfast in a little restaurant just out front of the hotel. The fruit at the hotel breakfast was never ripe and with the abundance of bananas everywhere on the island, we only got them one morning. The meat, except one day of mini hotdogs, was a shredded mixture. The eggs were always scrambled and never fully cooked. There was another choice of meat .. deli ham that had been sitting out with the goat's cheese. There was absolutely no service at all like we've experience on other holidays. We watched one morning as they poured a juice mixture..im sure it was Tang..into the juice dispenser from a pail. Once we ate breakfast off the resort we were able to get eggs our way and a choice of bacon, ham or sausage and real orange juice. Even the coffee was much better off the resort. The rooms at the resort were decent and clean. We were told the kitchnette that was part of our plan was for us to use but they were locked up tight but that was ok because anywhere you went on the island was was delicious and inexpensive. We rented a car for 2 days and that was enough..the traffic is crazy...barely any stop signs or lights...they just GO! haha The taxis were cheap and negotiable. Since my husband is 6'4" tall..we soon learned to take the black cabs as they had more head and leg room. English is not a common language anywhere so take your translators..but the smiles were abundant. Don't wait to buy your souvenors at the airport..there is little to choose from and extremely expensive. If you choose to eat out..do try El Pescador De La Marina on Concorde Bay...the best lobster ever and the atmosphere is awesome..both inside and outside seating with a 3 piece band..we went twice.
